When your vehicle is due for its registration renewal, the exhaust and muffler are carefully checked during the RMS Safety inspection, to make sure its in good working condition

If its not, its very likely that your vehicle will fail its Safety check, witch will prevent you from having it registered until the exhaust or muffler have been replaced
